THINK IT Forward

CBOSS SAW GROWTH, NEW MARKETS AND KEY PARTNERSHIPS IN 2009

Building Business in the Valley and in Healthcare Among Top Goals for 2010
For Release – January 26, 2010

BOARDMAN, Ohio -  Even amid the tough economic conditions that characterized the last 12 months, Mahoning Valley IT Solutions provider CBOSS made advances in new business, new markets and forged some strategic partnerships in 2009.

In business since 1996, CBOSS is one of the Valley’s most experienced IT companies. Today, with a new brand ‘look and feel’ and a mission to deliver total IT solutions that take its “customers’ business forward” CBOSS is serving local, regional and national business and government customers with solutions for web sites, online payment processing, workflow automation and hosting.

“We’re focusing on web-based IT solutions and services as critical tools to help our customers achieve their business goals of growth and efficiency,” said Aaron Lego, CBOSS director of business development. “We have a growing local footprint and we’re building our business in key markets nationally.”

Web Solutions

In 2009, tens of new customers went live with newly designed, feature-rich web sites based on the CBOSS ArchITech Content Management System. Companies such as Mahoning County, Mill Creek Metroparks, the Eastgate Regional Council of Governments and the non-profit organization Flying High use ArchITech to build and maintain a strong web presence, manage documents, provide online event registration, online payments and more.

Secure Hosting Services

Early in the year, CBOSS renewed its Level I Service Provider certification for the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS), demonstrating compliance with the industry’s most rigorous standard for credit card data security. CBOSS is one of a few IT companies in the Valley that is both PCI-certified and a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner.

New Business and New Markets

In the spring of 2009, the Ohio Department of Public Safety's Bureau of Motor Vehicles (ODPS-BMV) awarded CBOSS a multi-year contract to develop and host the 'next generation' solution for OPLATES, Ohio's online vehicle registration and renewal system. CBOSS has long been a vendor partner to the ODPS, winning the first OPLATES contract in 2000.

In 2009, CBOSS also made inroads into the national healthcare market with its flagship Central Payment Portal. The CPP is a web-based, PCI-compliant online payment solution that lets a company accept all forms of payment online. The reporting features of the CPP acts as a business tool for managing and shortening the revenue cycle.

In 2010, CBOSS will be reaching out to Valley healthcare organizations with IT solutions for web, online payment and other services.

“We’re excited to work with local healthcare providers to help them capture revenue more quickly and improve operational efficiencies,” Lego said. “The CPP can deliver that.”

With the government’s recent stimulus investment in healthcare IT to aid the conversion to electronic health records (EHR) by 2014, organizations are starting now, implementing IT solutions that will help spur the transition and enable operational efficiencies in the short term.

One such organization is Gila Regional Medical Center (GRMC). GRMC is based in New Mexico, about 300 miles southwest of Santa Fe. The tech-savvy hospital last fall selected CBOSS CPP to provide patients with a secure way to submit payments online via the hospital’s website. The service has been a boon to patient satisfaction and has allowed GRMC capture revenue quickly.

Forging New Partnerships

With its mission to offer customers complete IT solutions, CBOSS works with partners in a variety of such as IT hardware and infrastructure, banking services, billing, and marketing.

In 2009, CBOSS teamed up with LetterLogic, a fast-growing, woman-owned business in Nashville that provides outsourced billing services to companies with high-volume billing. LetterLogic is offering its customers the CPP online payment solution as a convenient online option to their manual payment process.

“Our partnership with LetterLogic as well as others enables us to offer increasingly value-added services solutions and services to our customers,” Lego said.
